Leicester City Football Club (LCFC) men’s first team dropped by yesterday (Monday 12 December) to personally give Christmas presents to young patients at Leicester Children’s Hospital as part of the Club’s annual festive celebrations.

Leicester Hospitals Charity’s Christmas Appeal 2022 is rallying the community to raise vital funds to save the lives of babies born early or who have become unwell after birth. It only takes £6000 to purchase a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine that will provide lifesaving breathing support for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Leicester Hospitals.

More than 250 people from local and national businesses came together with NHS staff for Leicester Hospitals Charity’s NHS Heroes Ball last night (Thursday 13 October) to raise over £39,000 to help purchase new neonatal ventilators and other equipment to save countless lives.

We’re only days away from Leicester Hospitals Charity’s prestigious event – The NHS Heroes Ball, in association with Pukaar Group. In its second year, the event celebrates the fantastic staff at Leicester’s Hospitals and will once again raise money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

On the weekend 80 people from across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland took part in Leicester Hospitals Charity’s The BIG Abseil event and have raised a massive £23,000 so far.

Alice Billson, Ben Hardy, Chris Packwood, Erol Gaillard, Henry Povos, Joe Hockenhull, Mark Pothecary, Olivia Pugh and Tom Dicicco, have been training intensely to take part in this year’s marathon. All nine supporters will run the scenic 26.2-mile route around London to help raise money for the areas of Leicester’s Hospitals that have impacted their or a family member’s life.
